The new season kicks off this coming Sunday, 26th March with a home fixture against OLV, kick off 11am. All support welcomed and appreciated.

What a superb start for our Junior Knights on Sunday with both U8’s and U9’s winning their first ever matches played. Some outstanding performances, the future is very bright indeed.

The Club are hosting a table quiz in The Balrothery Inn on Friday 7th April at 9pm to help raise much needed funds to support The Junior Knights, all welcome to attend, donate or sponsor.

Weekend roundup

Another super weekend for The Club. Saturday saw the first team impress yet again in a 3-1 home victory against Leixlip Town. Scorers on the day were William Andrews and skipper fantastic Ian Bertram with a brace.

Sunday morning saw the over 35’s travel to The Alsaa to play DAA from a league above. A tough hard fought battle resulting in Balrothery coming from 3-1 down to secure a 4-4 draw. Well deserved.

The first team were unlucky not to come away from the game with a draw and as a result lost for the first time in 2017. KC Utd winning 3-2.



Over 35’s had an impressive 4-1 win against Portrane, played in Loughshinny.

Brendan Mooney with his usual 30 yard plus goal getting the team going, Robbie Cardiff and 2 from Mark McCormack sealing the win.

The Club recently ran an open day at North County Cricket Club indoor centre.

Such was the success that we are pleased to announce the registration of 3 Junior Knights teams for the forthcoming season. U8, U9, U10.

Training is Thursday 9th Feb from 6-7pm at Balbriggan Rugby Club astro pitch.

We ask any parents interested in getting involved to please talk with our coaching staff on the night.

Our senior men’s team remain unbeaten in 2017 with 3 victories and a draw, the latest an impressive 2-1 victory at home to KC United. This has resulted in the team climbing to 7th in the league table.

The over 35’s recently finished their mini league with 2 draws and a victory, progress being made. They have several friendlies organised for the coming weeks leading up to the start of the 2017 season in March.


Sunday 8th Jan saw our Over 35’s Team record their first competitive win.

1-0 away to Stamullen.

A Martin Power penalty enough to secure the long awaited and well deserved win.


Sunday 15th v Cardonnagh

Despite going behind, Balrothery fought back to take a 2-1 lead with goals from Stephen Thompson and a Martin Power penalty. Cardonnagh upped the pace and ran out 4-2 winners to remain unbeaten in the competition.
